Exposition 11 au 22 mai 2022 à Paris

Point de rencontre des oeuvres de quatre artistes contemporains, cette exposition est à la croisée des chemins: Peinture, dessin, estampe, autant de médiums et d’expressions différents évoquant la diversité des formes de l’art actuel.

Bringing together the works of four contemporary artistes, this exhibition lies at a crossroads; painting, drawing, and printmaking, in different mediums and sensibilities, evoke the diversity of today’s artistic expression.

Three artistes, Hélène CRETTIEN (paintings), Bertrand HENRY (etchings, drawings), and Laurence MALHERBE (engraving and monotypes) accepted my invitation to join me in this show that will take place in the exhibition space “Studio Alfred Boucher” at La Ruche, 2 passage de Dantzig, in the 15th quarter of Paris.

META-2020: Transmissions Furtives

C’est une série de petits formats sur papier japon (encre et collage) qui me parlent des metamorphoses virales et sociales, inattendues et déroutantes, qui sont en train de transformer nos vies et notre monde.

Les titres des oeuvres (“Le doute persiste, Similarités ont été détectées, Le moindre petit indice, L’écho dépasse de loin sa portée réelle, Franchir la barrière, Site de clivage, En mode interrogatif, Hypothèses improbables…) sont des extraits d’un article dans le MONDE du 23 décembre 2020 par Stéphane Foucart avec Chloé Hecketsweiler intitulé “Les origines toujours énigmatiques du SARS-CoV-2“.

La série fait partie de la 5ème exposition collective dans la salle Alfred Boucher à la Ruche, évidement respectant tous les consignes sanitaires actuels.

This is a series of small works on Japanese paper (ink and collage) that speak to me of the unexpected and disorienting viral and social metamorphoses that are currently transforming our world as well as our way of life.

Their French titles are extracts from an article about the enigmatic origines of SARS-CoV-2 written by Stéphane Foucart with Chloé Hecketsweiler and published in Le MONDE on December 24th, 2020.

These will be shown in the 5th annual group show in the Alfred Boucher gallery at La Ruche.
